Why does my email end up in spam?
A common cause is that the recipient’s mail server cannot check that the sender is genuine, because SPF, DKIM or DMARC is missing or set up wrongly on the domain. Sometimes another system, for example a newsletter tool or an invoicing service, sends email in the domain’s name without being in the SPF record. We troubleshoot the cause and add the right SPF, DKIM and DMARC records.
How do I stop email ending up in spam?
Make sure the domain has the right SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and that every system that sends email in the domain’s name is in the SPF record. Check them every time you change email service. If you would rather not do it yourself, we add the records for you in the package for SPF, DKIM and DMARC, from SEK 1,495 incl. VAT.
My emails end up in spam at Gmail or Outlook. Is it the same fault?
Yes, often. Gmail, Outlook and other large email services check SPF, DKIM and DMARC and have tightened their requirements on senders in recent years. If the settings are missing or wrong, the emails can end up in spam. Then the fault is on your domain, not with the recipient.
Can you promise that the emails reach the inbox?
No. The recipients’ own filters decide what gets through, so we cannot promise that every email reaches the inbox. We add the right settings on the domain, send test emails afterwards and briefly explain what was wrong and what we have done.
What do I need to provide?
Tell us which domain it concerns, which email service you use and what happens to the emails, for example whether they end up in spam or come back with an error message. Never send passwords in the chat. We confirm scope and price in writing before work begins.
We send newsletters and invoices from other systems. Are they included?
Yes, within the package. The settings are made for your email service and for a limited number of other services that send email in the domain’s name, such as newsletter and invoicing systems. How many are included is stated under Scope in the package above. Any extras are priced and approved before they are done.
The contact form on the website does not send email. Is that the same thing?
It is a related fault, but not the same. If it concerns the form on a WordPress site, we fix how it sends email in a package of its own: fixing the contact form, from SEK 995 incl. VAT. If the fault is outside the form, for example with the email provider, it is not fixed in that package. Then you get a written explanation and a suggestion for the next step.
